Another "Gong" for Portrush Sea Cadets

03 April 2013

Following on from the success of being awarded The Queens Award for Voluntary Service in June 2012, Portrush Sea Cadets have recently received another prestigious award – this time, a little closer to home.

Coleraine Borough Council have presented the Cadets with the 2013 Community Endeavour Award – Youth Activity Category. This is in recognition of such local events as organising and hosting an Outreach Multi-Activity Programme and encouraging and facilitating young people to get involved with the International Maritime Confederation (IMC) – Sail Training and Cultural Programme and in training youth in the Borough via the Networks Involving Communities in Health Improvement.
