When asked to assist Cullybackey Community Partnership (CCP) to help make up food parcels and deliver to the vulnerable within the village during this Coronavirus epidemic, Cadets Lance Corporal Alicia McGorrey and Cadet Amy Mark from Cullybackey Detachment, Army Cadet Force (ACF) C Coy, 1st(NI) Battalion did not hesitate in volunteering.

They assisted along with ex cadet Anna Henry and other CCP volunteers including Elizabeth Steede, Ruth Brown-Kerr, Jane Hutchinson, Jack and Doreen McClean to pack and deliver.

These have now been successfully delivered throughout the village and for the cadets this also contributes to their Duke of Edinburgh Awards & Cadet in the community.

Elizabeth Steede from the Community group said

“We really appreciated the help and assistance from all our volunteers especially at these unprecedented times”.

Cadets helping their local community during this unprecedented time. A big well done to all those involved!
