Sea Cadets welcomes their new Captain, Captain Phil Russell MA MSc CEng CMarEng FIMarEST MRINA Royal Navy. Captain Russell joins as Captain of the Sea Cadets from the Commercial Supported Shipping team at MOD Abbey Wood in Bristol and replaces Captain Johnathan Holloway RN who leaves the charity on retirement of the Royal Navy.

2 cadets from Northern Ireland are competing with 22 others to be chosen as one of nine national finalists in the CVQO Duke of Westminster Award at a challenging four-day selection event in Somerset.
