The Cadet movement is among one of the most prestigious youth organisations in the world, and its popularity means we need more Adult Volunteers to lead the cadets and deliver the quality of experiences, adventures and community projects that our cadets enjoy.

To become an adult instructor, no military background is required, just an interest in working with, and helping, young people.  You’ll receive training in all aspects of the Cadets, plus the chance to learn new qualifications.

FACILITIES ASSISTANT

A vacancy has arisen for a Facilities Assistant with the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Northern Ireland. This is a part-time post based at our Head Office in Belfast.

The incumbent is primarily responsible for providing administration support to the Estates and Facilities Department.

Duties and responsibilities:

Assist with the administration of facilities contracts.
Maintain a database of approved contractors on behalf of the department.
Assist with processing invoices on behalf of the department.
Assist with the management of leases, licenses and permits.
Ensure all department paper and electronic records are updated. 
Provide administration support to the Head of Estates and Estates Officers.

The appointment requires:

5 GCSEs at Grades A* to C (to include Maths and English)
Proficient in Microsoft packages such as Excel, Outlook etc.
Demonstrable organisation and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Administration experience within property management or facilities management

 Desirable criteria which may be used to shortlist suitable applicants:

Qualification related to Administration or the Built Environment

 This is a Crown Servant Grade E1 part-time post (20 hours per week, working hours will be discussed at interview and agreed with the successful candidate.) The salary for the appointment at commencement is £10,206 per annum. The successful candidate will be eligible to elect to join the Council of RFCAs pension scheme. This is a Career Average Revalued Earnings scheme (CARE).

The successful candidate on appointment will be entitled to 25 days annual leave entitlement (pro rata)

This role is for a probationary period of 6 months in the first instance.
